Key abilities of Dynamics 365 Business Central
Dynamics 365 Business Central is a comprehensive, all in one business management solution designed for organizations that have outgrown their entry-level accounting solutions. It not only includes accounting and financial management capabilities but also sales, service, project management, supply chain, inventory, and operations management. In terms of target personas, we see business owners or CEOs, CFOs as primary decision-makers. However, IT directors, end-users and especially accounts play an active role in recommending solutions to these primary decision-makers.

Three areas are important for growing businesses:
Organizations that have outgrown their entry-level accounting solutions typically have trouble consolidating different areas of their business.
For example, an organization may have started with just a basic accounting solution followed by an CRM solution to better manage their customers and opportunities. As their business further expands, they decide to add an inventory system. As you can imagine, these systems are brought in at different stages of business growth and don’t necessarily integrate well together, which results in employees spending a lot of time on manual managing processes and data. This is a classic pattern for growing companies, and we’ve learned that across industries, there are clear signs when customers’ existing financial solution starts to break and is unable to handle that additional growth.
In some cases, we have even seen customers use very old legacy ERP systems who continue to feel the hassle around scalability and mobility. Whereas Dynamics 365 Business Central has the ability to bring all of these systems and processes together into a single solution from the groundup, which enables organizations to reduce those manual processes and allows them to focus on more high-value tasks.
It also includes easy-to-create workflow functionality, which is complete with audit trails and enterprise-level security. Also, for many organizations, being able to access their business solutions on mobile devices is important. Dynamics 365 Business Central is fully mobile-enabled. It is available on iOS, Android and Windows devices.
And unlike some products that offer limited capabilities on mobile devices, for example, you could only handle expense report or just view data; Dynamics 365 Business Central provides the full experience across all form factors, so users have access to perform any activities on any device from anywhere.
Besides, Dynamics 365 Business Central is seamlessly integrated into Microsoft Office, so the users doesn’t even have to leave their familiar office interface to manage their everyday processes. For example, users can create, edit or email quotes, orders, and even invoices right from Outlook. They can use Microsoft word to create templates to personalize their documents, such as invoices and quotes.
Users can use Microsoft Excel to manipulate data with the ability to sync seamlessly back and forth between Excel and Dynamics 365 Business Central.
In the next series, we will discuss two important areas of Business Central, so follow us and watch out for that post! If you are considering implementing Business Central 365 for your business, do not hesitate to contact us here.
